I don’t expect much, I really don’t expect anything at all.

But when someone gets my hopes up, only to have them knocked back down, then I become upset. I do things from a place of compassion. For the look on their face knowing that I was the one who made them happy, is satisfaction at its finest. But when I ask for a simple thing here and there compared to what I go out of my way to do for someone and they can’t seem to do it, disappointment lingers for quite some time. 

My spirit is once again knocked down.
